how does the leetsdale launch look this year? are they charging that fee, and is the ramp long enough for a 20' boat?

So far the only thing done was new asphalt up to the parking area. Nothing else has changed. Looks like it may be another year of no launch fees. (I hope). Heard somewhere, maybe on this board, that some one saw the plans on what they intend to do. Sounds nice if it ever comes to be.

You fishing live or artificial down there?  We were linking of tossing some jigs either there, Dashields or Lock 3 this weekend.  I love spring on the rivers!  When you can actually fish them that is.

i,ve fished at leesdale for a long time and love to fish it in the spring. the lady at the borough building told us that if you have a permit from 06 you can launch for free.  she said they will send info in the mail when new permits are required.  i wouldn't launch if i didn't have a permit.

I used jigs - white "road runner" and green "darting shad" - fished LOW and SLOW with most hits close to the bank.
