a local fm station on the ohio-pa border started playing non-stop Christmas music last week.  is it just me or are they going to make people sick of it by the beginning of december?  i love the season and its' religious significance, but this is overkill, imo.

The Walmart has been playing Christmas music and putting up Christmas decorations for several weeks now.  I am definitely getting sick of it and we have not even had Thanksgiving yet.

They shove christmas down our throats for over a month before the big day, then they cant figure out why holiday retail sales keep going down, I love it.

Anyone else here ever had to work retail (at a mall) over the holidays?  It's...uh...memorable.

Come on, get in the spirit! How do you expect to save this economy without spending the next 7 weeks Christmas shopping!!

Of course, I'm kidding, I remember when you didn't see or hear Christmas marketing till after Thanksgiving. Some things should never change.

I don't work retail, but my wife does.  This will be the 2nd Thanksgiving I'll be dining alone cause she has to work .  I miss the days of stores being closed on holidays and Sundays..

Nothing like a Christmas sing along at the Stop Sign Hole to get you in the mood...

Uggghhh! Christmas music.  Worked one year for two weeks in a retail store around christmas.  Think they had one cd that they played non-stop.  Ruined me on christmas music forever.

I got my fair share of holidays at the mall, but I had a cool manager when I worked weekends (most of the time).  On Sundays, she got rid of the xmas CD and piped the WDVE broadcast of the Steeler game through the store!  I knew she was probably the coolest manager ever when she stopped checkout procedures due to a 4th & goal situation.

Your right Bug, our local Walmart had their Christmas trees and decorations out  befor Halloween. I like Christmas, but through all the hype and advertiseing to buy this and that precedeing it, I'm glad when it  has finally arrived and over and done with. I find it amuseing that so many stores want to make a good profit during the season that we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but won't even allow their employees to wish the customers a "Merry Christmas." What a country. Political correctness run a muck.

I agree, they should not play Christmas music untill the day after Thanksgiving Each year it seems they begin the Christmas season earlier then the last one, the local wal mart put away the halloween and believe it or not all of the thanksgiving stuff they had on display and now its all christmas stuff, not one thing for thanksgiving, Seems like nobody cares about thanksgiving anymore which to me is the greatest holiday there is, we take a day off to be thankfull for what we have. Christmas music is nice to listen to but its also a big mind game to make you feel good to spend your money on Christmas stuff.
