I was going through some of my old photos this morning and found this one of a dad and his boy and a big, heavy fish at the end of the line.

I always meant to try and get this photo to the guy in the photo but I don't recall if i ever got his info.

Anyway, this seems like the essence of the great outdoors and fatherhood all wrapped up in one image.

Dad, I hope if you are reading this, you enjoy this photo. It's been 5 years so no doubt your boy is outfishing you by now...I guess there are worse things though. I hope my five year-old smiles like this when he hooks his first steelhead.

I recall those boys picking up that can and hauling it out because some slob left it there. Kind of fouls the shot. I should have '"shopped" it out.
