That was very interesting. I have a fairly new car, but I wonder how old the tires are? Pretty scary stuff.

Thanks for the link. Something to look for when getting new tires. I wonder if there is a connection between discount tire stores selling tires real cheap and old inventory?

What that video failed to mention is how many of the "outdated tires" were under-inflated, which is the major cause of thread seperation.

People are too busy recharging their cell-phones to check their tire pressure on a regular basis.

It would be nice to know what MFG.has the most blowouts,and I bet you can point to the EPA for this,just like the gas today is only good for 3-4 months.

They said that even stores like sears are selling tires older than 6 years.
