Here's a twist to the popular sucker spawn fly. To give it a little movement try palmering a single feather of white CDC through the fly. This simple addition gives it just a little more movement when wet.  After discovering this simple addition it is now the only way I tie the spawn. I like to call it CDSuck. Hope it works for you. It makes it look like it's milted.  Does it appear to work better for you?

It's hard to say for me whether or not it works better because this is the only spawn I fish with now. I will tell you though that when wet - your right it does appear milted plus the CDC offers some movement.
