I like The Riviera for the price and reasonable accomodations.  I stayed at El Patio and was disappointed-- the shower was smaller than in most RVs and water sprayed all over the bathroom.  I also stayed at the Green Roof Inn once and found it OK, closer to Elk, but the Riv gets my vote between the three.

El PAtio is hit or miss... i usually stay there, but then again I have slept in my car for 5 nights in the allegheny national forest  :>)  So needless to say, I am still able to rough it

Red Roof Inn usually has good weekday rates too

i second that about the el patio, used to stay there a lot but haven't in two years.

personally i'd go with the flamingo. it's pretty cheap and i've had good experiences there as far as clean rooms go,
or the comfort inn, it's only a little more than the flamingo and you get a free breakfast.

Comfort Inn, just be sure to get a room AWAY from the bar door! When we stayed there, a bus full of college kids came in. All the drunk smokers who now have to go outside to puff carried on outside our room until 2:00 a.m. Other than that, great!

I'm also looking for a place to stay, doesn't have to be too real nice, for good price near a decent bar with food.  And not in town, i'm more interested in one near elk or walnut.  What is Elk Creek Lodge like?

I stayed at the Presque Isle Inn once and it was pretty nice and fairly priced, but I was also up there in June, we were bass fishing for a couple days, don't know what their rates are come Steelhead season.

I stay at the Inn @ Presque Isle - for me its fine...I'm pooped by the end of the day and after a hot shower and a few brewski's - I'M OUT...

She charged me $38 a night for a single....beats sleeping in the truck...

Didnt like El Patio for the reasons stated above...

As long as you don't get the same shower situation I had or don't need to do much more than get wet, you may be OK.  The bed and room were clean otherwise.  The price was right and they had vacancy when other motels did not, but I know the shower is an important point for me and I won't be booking there again unless I am once again desperate.  If your experience is better, please post back.

I also liked Inn at Presque Isle.  Got the kitchenette, 1 bed.  Clean and reasonable.  Takes 8 minutes to get to Walnut.

Dont go to the patio last time i was there, the bathroom shower was clogged with some type of brown substance and there were a lot of hairs and cig burns in the bed.  Go to the Flamingo on route five same price just a better place to stay and it smells better.

I'm not going to encourage the cancellation, but if you do, get a cancellation number.

Good luck, I hope the accomodations work out.  I really hate to hate on a business establishment, but also feel duty-bound to be honest with my experience.

Stayed there for a few days, I guess I got one of the better rooms, it was clean and warm all I needed.  Got a little too warm at one point and we opened the window but over all it wasn't too bad.
