This year, late winter/early spring, I discovered the fantastic steelhead fish that the tribs around Erie, Pa. offer.  Have been wondering what these tribs produce in the fall as far as Brown trout runs, and for that matter steelies.

For the most part, that time of year I hit Lake O tribs.  Seems like must be something happen' on the Erie tribs then, no?

There are a few browns in the fall, but not a ton of them and they do not generally seem to be as big as those reported to be caught in the lake Ontario tribs.  Most seem to come in fairly early, say October and by mid to late November they are pretty much gone.

Last year I had some good Brownie action at the mouths. At that time the rains were minimal and the best fishing was only at the mouths. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a stray or 2 lurking around soon.

Had one on last year, jumped and spit the hook.  It wasn't very big but at least it was a brownie.  That was the only one.
