Boat docks out at 18th St launch

     Guess winter is really coming. They pulled the boat docks from the South Side Pgh 18th Street boat launch.

    That sucks. I wonder when they will pull the docks at the sharpsburg launch?

    the small dock in sewickley is still open as of yesterday sunday oct 20 2012.

    They were also still in @ Harmar as of 10-21-12

    There were five boat trailers at the 18st launch today. Lack of boat docks isn't keeping people from launching.

    There were five boat trailers at the 18st launch today. Lack of boat docks isn't keeping people from launching.


    Especially at 18th the way they have it set up with the boat dock off to the left most boats down SS power load anyhow so a dock wouldn't matter to them.  I have a small boat, and as long as the weather is some what reasonable I will continue to launch, docks in or not. I'll just throw on a pair of waders, tie it up on shore and go from there.
