Anyone doing any good with the Gulp Alive? Was thinking of getting some 3" Minnow or 3" Minnow Grubs for crappie. Seems a little steep in price but you don't have to worry about keeping minnows or leechs alive.

Treble, I use the other gulp products for salt. I've had good results w/ their items. Just be aware that w/ some of these items you can not place the item back in its package after you've used it. Not sure if thats the same w/ alive.

i used the leeches for walleye when they first came out in the fall (probably out before that but thats when i found them)...they have very lifelike action...you can dunk it in the juice every so often while fishing it, and if its not torn to shreds just toss it back in the bucket it will retain the scent all over again...be careful with the buckets though, they leak...BADLY..

Well the whole point of using the artificial ones is that they don't need to be kept alive.  The OP said this in his first post.  In addition, some areas have rules against live fish being used as bait, to help preserve the balance of game fish and food fish that might be upset by minnows escaping and breeding (and overcrowding other species).

With regard to these things...what causes the bucket to leak?  Bad threads, cheap closing mechanism?  I might consider getting some of these to try, but I dont want a soggy mess of stench in my car...

I think a little bit of both.  You only have to turn the lid a little past 1/2 way to open.  The gasket in the lid is not that great either.  I thought about cutting a new gasket from some rubber roofing material, but opted for getting some good sealable containers from wally-world instead.  I use enough of the stuff to warrent the purchase.

The buckets/lids have been modified and leaking is no longer the problem it was at first.
