I normally fish this creek for trout, yet it's not that great past June for trout. So I was thinking of tying some bass patterns maybe to get more fish on the creek. I only tie flies for trout, and only have the materials for trout patterns. Any suggestions that don't include things like big cork heads and all those other jig looking flies lol. I use Woolly Buggers & Copper Johns and they produce but I'm looking for acouple true bass patterns. Thanks.

Here's a little bass I caught this morning on a Griffith's Gnat.

I use a lot of Clouser minnow patterns. He has a good book out also Dick Stewert has a couple books on bass flies.

The only bass fly you need is the Clouser Crippled Minnow...but you have to spin deer hair.

Damn! Thought it was either, took a guess. Bear in mind I've only been doing this for a year... I tied acouple clousers & caught about 20 bass yesterday. They're really nice flies.
