For anyone interested, I made it down to the BSR (which is essentially just a small lake) yesterday and on a whim I wet a line. I wound up landing a really nice fat rainbow on about my 15th cast. I was limited on time so I called it quits early, but there were a few other guys doing very well right off the dock. I returned today for a little while, and the guys on the dock were still doing real well.

There is limited fishing space, and it is a little bit of a walk in, but it is worth the trip. The fish were real fiesty and plump. Would be a great little trip for anyone looking to get their kid interested.

It is the lake that is located in Ballston Spa. A mild hike in is necessary, just follow thw markers and you will find it.
