Thanks for posting the pic for me reel force.  That lunker was a nice treat - they don't come around too often!

Thanks NYY - That was my first time on Ballston Lake and I'll definitely be headed back soon, hopefully this Sat morning.  If you see the crawdad, pop over and say hello.

Hey Brain - thanks again for takin the pic.   Nice smallie - what did she weigh?  I picked up a little 2hp outboard for the crawdad, so now I can get down to the deep end of Ballston to hunt for some monster smallies.

Thanks for the welcome.

Paul

Thanks Mohawk - sure was a nice looking fish.  I dragged her around behind the boat for about a half hour (which I don't like doing - bad for the gills) until I ran into Bassin Brian and Reel Force, an then let her go after they took the pics for me.  I hated dragging her around like that, but I just had to get some good pics before releasing her!

Great fish...  What a pig...

You're right about the Smallies on the deep end to the South...  They should be hunkered down around 25ft right now...

There is also a rockpile on the left (looking south) right where the lake narrows after the bulge...  Thats a great smallie spot...

Great photo!!!  Go get 'em!
