27ModelT, Just so you know, I use to catch walleye like this all year around on the Yough back in 70's then something happened and started catching small ones or barely legal in the 80's, in the 90's they started to pick up size again, then early 2000's was small again, and last year, started catching 20 plus inches, but last night was the icing on the cake. It was a matter of finding them. Last year there were several 29 and 30 inches caught near West Newton and Layton. Mossy Oak's buddy pulled out a 27 inches. 2 weeks ago I ran into 4 guys that one had a 10 pounder on the stringer, it was a hawg! He told me that he lost 2 that he thought was bigger than the one he landed. Trout are nice to catch, and catchin big smallmouth are fun, but nothing better than eating walleye in my opinion...other can disagree, their choice. 71
