Has anyone hit up the Edward John or anyhting this year yet? Was just curious as to how well anyone has done, since I'm thinking of heading up this week.

Hey have you ever brought other types of minnows out with you like creek chubs or the like?

I was fishing off the south peir saturday and they had some nice 5 gal. buckets full of perch. I was fishing for bass until the rains came in.

I hate when you start off the trip with a huge couple of perch. They shut down about 10:30 and no one caught anymore after that. Total for 4 people 8 perch. Victory staff were great, boat was clean.

The victory anchored right next to us on tuesday...we were in the cream and brown cris craft. We got our 60 in very short order, a mixed bag from 9" to 14" with quite a few throw backs as well. I was wondering what was on board the victory for bait? Emeralds or golden shiners. We had to hit two bait shops before finding emeralds. I know some swear that there is no difference between the two when it comes to perch jerkin but I believe that emeralds work much better, at least 10 to 1 when fished side by side. any one else care to comment?

The Ewdard John will definitiely be sailing the weekend on the morning trips and possibly the evenings. If you go to the reports page from last weekend I posted the trips reports for Friday May 9th and Saturday May 10th. We will be sailing weekends until Memorial day. If there is enough interest during the week to put together a trip we will sail. Call ahead for info. Emerlad Shiners were used. Looking forward to see you all again!!

They had emarald shiners for bait. Did you notice the huge schools of baitfish that were cruising the area.
