ORIGINAL: gobyking Hey Smallie,I don't know what your handicap is but I was once in the low single digits 9 years ago.Take this as a honest game improvement tip: Buy Ben Hogan's Five Fundamentals of Golf published in 1955.I used this along with some instruction from my college golf coach to play the best I ever could and have since,I don't have any time anymore and really fish 10 times as much as golf now.But anyway,it's $12.95 softback and is worth more that 10 lessons from a pro.It teaches you the right way, very technical. To be perfectly honest, my handicap is pretty much my swing at this point. I was down to 12 at one point, now I'm back up around 19. Of course I've been spending more time on the water than on the course, so I guess that's only normal. As long as I can stay better than my buddies and take their money, I'm fine! I'll look into that book though, I can use all the help I can get. I have a copy of "How I Play Golf", by Tiger Woods. A lot of the stuff in there is helpful, but some of the stuff in there is only helpful if you're actually kind of good to begin with! Thanks for the heads up.
