What a morning 9/11/2001 was. I worked  a 7p-7a shift and was driving home from pittsburgh. Listening to Howard Stern they made mention of a plane crashing into one of the towers. The gang speculated it was probably a cessna or some small plane that accidently hit the tower. I was soon home but remained in my vehicle listening to this weird story play out. Howard and the gang realized it was more than just a small plane as they continued to discuss the story. I believe they took a break and then I decided to go turn the tube on. When I did there it was,the first tower with smoke billowing out. I sat intently, wondering what the hell just happened? Then I watched the second plane hit and was completely puzzled as to why such a thing just happened. It is such a vivid memory and I will never forget. This is for all who were lost that day and all those that live without those who died. 2 many innocent lives were lost and families affected to ever forget.

I was sitting at home writing a paper on Deer management.  I had been engaged to my future wife for exactly 7 days, when she called from work asking if I had seen or heard anything.  We didn't have cable or even regular tv reception at the time.  I remember scrambling for a radio, and sitting on the computer scanning for info.  It was a very helpless feeling.  The post below this one is a moment of silence for all those affected by the acts of the cowards who attacked us.

hmm well i was playing at recess in my school and my mom came and picked me up. she was very serious and i had no idea what was going on. she told me something bad happened and i asked if there was a war. she said that it was something like that. i went home and she showed me what happened. being eight i couldnt really comphrend what happened. well im happy to say that i lost no one in that tragic bombing and pray for those who did. god bless america. bless all of the soldiers who are risking their lives for us. a really good song

All i remeber is grabbing a can of soda off of the step, and seeing my mom watching CNN. It was such a beautiful day, and at the time becoming one of the most memorial parts of our history for all the wrong reasons..

I was making deliveries. Heard the first one on radio, then second. Hair on my head stood up. Went home to watch the news coverage. Didn't know what was going on for sure but it wasn't good. I went and took my kids out of school along with hundreds of other parents. I will never forget looking at the other parents there that were crying and not knowing where their spouses were or if they were alive. Kids asking what's wrong? Nobody could speak.

Within a short period of time the county went crazy with false reports/suspitious persons calls. Seen the pentagon report that it was hit, later, flight 93 go down. The uncensored news broadcasts of people jumping.....That day is burned in my memory forever.

I was working my route running 220 miles a day. That morning was as if the world disappeared. Everywhere I went there was hardly a soul in a business or establishment I serviced. All the owners were glued to the tv or closed up and all I could think about was the little girl I had at home that was 3 months old and what in the hell was going to happen in this world the next few years.

Her Catholic school had red, white, and blue day today. I asked her(7 year old) why she thought it was red, white, and blue day. She said, "Because of all the people in the building that are in heaven now." When I asked her who did it she said, "The bad people."

She got the bad people from me explaining it simply as we watched the evening news last night, the heaven was added by her.
