Anybody know where i can get some 7' trolling rods? Even 7 1/2 would do. I'm currently using 8 1/2 and would like to downsize for my 16 1/2 ft boat. Would make it easier to net fish. Can only back up so far, you know.

Chauncy,

Unless you shorten your leader length, a shorter rod will make it harder to net. Less rod to lift up, and back.

I already shortened my leaders. Found out last year they were too long for my boat. Want to try with the shorter rods for trolling walleyes.

Thanks for the info guys. I ordered a 7 1/2ft okuma from the fishusa store. I'll see how this one works for me. If i need a 7', i'll check again.
